Complete Ruckus at Dhupguri Hospital Following Patient Death

Webdesk, TNI Dhupguri, 01st September, 2017: In another case of medical negligence at Dhupguri, the relatives and associates of the patient (allegedly died of medical negligence) demanded the arrest of 3 doctors on duty at the time of death. The deceased patient is a child named Guria Parveen died yesterday at Dhupguri Hospital. Soon after, there was huge tension created by the patient associates and relatives. Police came to control the situation. Patient’s relatives alleged that the child was ok when she was attended in the morning but deteriorated when Dr. Ajit Gupta gave an injection with symptoms of breathing. The child died after that. Sources said that the injection was probably Dexamethasone. The situation deteriorated so much that the SDO had to come to the Hospital. Police said that the body will be taken for post mortem. On the other hand, District CMOH of Jalpaiguri Dr. Jagannath Mandal said that based on the allegation a Departmental inquiry will be initiated for the case. He also informed that the child was a Thalassemic patient.
